A church in Kildare remains closed after the building was damaged when the country was battered by storms at the weekend.
The Church of the Assumption and St Patrick in Rathangan has been closed since Sunday December 10 following storm damage to the church spire.
A church spokesperson explained the church still remained closed due to the “danger of more debris falling from the church spire.”
He added that the church will remain closed until it is safe to reopen to the public and the church will “update when they can do further inspection” on the spire.
